Saturday

Well, mommy and daddy took me to the vet this morning to have my kennel cough vaccination and my toenails clipped. I hate car rides, and I'm not crazy about going to the vet either! But I survived the whole experience just fine.

It's been cold and rainy, that is cold for SE Texas, today, and rainy. The temperature never got above 42 degrees. Now I don't undertand why I didn't get my usual long walks!! After all I don't care if it's cold and wet, what's with these humans??

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!!

I've Been a Good Girl!

Mommy has been leaving for work early and leaving late for home and daddy has been working all day three days this week, too. I have been so good, they thought I would have at least one accident, but I haven't.

Now Daddy will be home tomorrow and we can have some more nice long walks!!

I Saw a Wabbit!!!

This morning mommy was walking me, and I was sniffing around and rooting through the grass. Guess what? I found a wabbit, a big ole wabbit, and I don't know which one of us was more surprised to see the other one. The wabbit wan off under de barbed wire fence, and I wanted to chase it, but Mommy held onto my leash and said I couldn't go under dat fence. DRATS! I cried and whined for a long time wanting to go on the chase.

Dis is de first big ole wabbit I habs found on one of my walkies, and it was so exciting.

Mommy Started a New Job!

Mommy started a new job on Monday that requires her to be away from home real early in the morning and then she gets home later too. I miss mommy, but I am such a lucky girl cause Daddy only works part-time cause he's "semi-retired" whatever that means. He has been home with me and has been giving me wonderful long walks and has been loving on me and giving me lots of petting and tummy rubs.

I am SO glad to see Mommy when she gets home. I have even started giving her a cairn kiss, and I am not much on kissies.

That's about it for now.

On the Hunt!

What's that under there? I SEE something!!

My daddy takes me all around our acreage, and I gets to burrow all thru the grass and tunnels and other good stuff.

I love sniffing and digging for all kinds of varmints on my walks!

My Angel Brother and Sister

These are the angel dogs that preceded me here in our home. Impy is the wire hair fox terrier and Max is the mixed breed cairn terrier/dachshund. Mommie and Daddie loved them VERY much and when they went to the Bridge there were huge holes in their hearts. Mommie and Daddie believe that Impy and Max had their paws in making me a member of the family.

My Name is Cassie

My name is Cassie, and I am a 6 year old cairn terrier. I have begun a new life as a loved family pet after spending the first 5 1/2 years of my life as a puppymill mommy.

I am a black brindle girl with red undertones and some silver in my coat. My mommy and daddy think that I'm be-u-te-ful!

I was brought into my mommy and daddy's lives to help heal their broken hearts after my angel brother Max and my angel sister Impy went to the Bridge.

Col Potter Cairn Terrier rescue brought me from the puppymill and then a foster home, then a forever home that didn't work out. Then mommy and daddy fostered me and adopted me! Lucky me!! They love me a lot.

I hope to share my new life with you here on this blog. Mommy is new at blogging, so she hopes you will be patient with her.

Love,
Cassie
